Covid-19 Information

OSCAR - AFTER SCHOOL CLUB AND HOLIDAY PROGRAMME

Yes all of our staff are vaccinated to work at Waimarino

OSCAR programmes are exempt from being vaccinated. So no, your child does not need to be vaccinated under the current government guidelines to attend Waimarino Afterschool and Holiday Programmes onsite.

However, if we are attending a venue that requires vaccine passes for over 12 years and 3 months ( such as the Movie theatre ) your child will need to be vaccinated to enter their venue.

No, all parents, caregivers and family who are collecting their child in our OSCAR Programme do not need to be vaccinated to do so. However, in the Orange and Red Traffic light levels we require the use of masks.

Parents picking up children will be asked to stay outside the clubhouse as this is a designated safe space for our children. To ensure all children’s safety we will have a strict child only policy inside the clubhouse.

RED – OSCAR Programme open. Small groups of 20 children. Rostered use of activities. Social distancing. Good hand hygiene. Parents mask use is compulsory. Staff wearing masks.

ORANGE - OSCAR Programme open. All activities used. Social distancing. Good hand hygiene. Parents mask use is compulsory. Staff wearing masks.

GREEN - OSCAR Programme open. All activities used. Good hand hygiene. Parents mask use is not compulsory but recommended. Staff wearing masks.

school programmes

All of our staff at Waimarino are abiding by the current vaccination requirements.

As an EOTC provider we ARE ABLE to run all our programmes  for ALL STUDENTS in the orange and green traffic light zones. This means that students are not required to have a My Vaccine Pass when attending a programme as part of their school curriculum. As more information becomes available there is a possibility this may change.

Teachers and support staff will need to be fully vaccinated by 2nd January 2022.

Waimarino Education Trust operates all School Programmes with strict safety precautions within the Covid Protection Framework (Traffic Light System). Our standard cancellation policy applies to all bookings. If Waimarino is unable to operate due to government guidelines or your school cannot attend due to government restrictions, a full refund (including deposit) will be available upon request. In no other circumstances (including individual school policies) will a refund be issued. Please get in touch for the full Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy.

Currently in all levels schools are able to attend. New directives are expected in January 2022 regarding whether we will need to change our current operations.

In the Covid-19 Protection Framework people are allowed to travel between different coloured zones and are required to follow the guidelines of the area they are in.

This means that schools are still able to come to Waimarino and would have to follow the current settings guidelines while here. For more information around travelling click here.
